Take an old clean toothbrush and brush away any loose dirt particles.
Dust and grime should fly off the shoelaces easily, but you'll need to get the laces wet to really clean them, though.
Mix together some warm water and washing up liquid in a bowl and add about three tablespoons of bleach.
